THANK YOU for supporting the South Plains Sweethearts! At the beginning of September, the Sweethearts kicked off year three of fundraising by hosting the 2nd Annual Wild Game Dinner in Lubbock, TX.
Having the Chilton Stand built by students at Frenship FFA, centerpieces created by New Home, Lubbock-Cooper Liberty, Frenship FFA & LISD Floral Dept, and students from Abernathy FFA, Borden County FFA, Tahoka FFA, Idalou FFA & Lubbock-Cooper FFA donate custom handmade projects to be used in out live auction; our hearts are filled with gratitude in seeing how the West Texas community came together to make our dream of being able to support the South Plains exhibitors at the San Antonio Junior Livestock Sale into a reality.
It was an honor to have the 2024 Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer, Bricelyn Patschke, Dr. Cele Stone and the San Antonio Director & Vice Chairman of the Junior Livestock Auction Committee, Mr. Nicholas Sirianni speak to our guests about the Sweethearts fundraising mission and how it impacts the South Plains exhibitors when they enter the sale ring in San Antonio each February.
We are proud to announce that after the Wild Game Dinner, the remaining entrées and sides were donated to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department. The centerpieces were transported by the FiberMax Center for Discovery’s staff to the Windmill Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the residents to enjoy. While our mission is to support livestock exhibitors in San Antonio, it makes our hearts happy knowing that other South Plains residents also benefited from the 2nd Annual Wild Game Dinner!
Because of your generous contribution and support, we exceeded our goal of $50,000 and will become a Gold Contributor at the 2025 San Antonio Junior Livestock Auction! This amount will allow us to continue to support over 150 exhibitors when they enter the sale ring in the Alamo City! It is heartwarming to see individuals like you who share our vision and are willing to stand by us as we work towards making a positive difference. The South Plains Sweethearts value your support tremendously.
